How I handle your data, transparently.
What I collect
When you fill out the contact form, I receive your name, email, and message content. When you browse the site (if analytics consent is granted), Google Analytics records anonymous page views, referral source, device type, and approximate location (country-level). I never collect sensitive personal data, financial information, or health data.
How I use it
Contact form submissions are used to respond to your inquiry and, if you hire me, to deliver the work you requested. Analytics data helps me understand which content resonates so I can improve the site. I do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Third parties
Google Analytics 4 — anonymous traffic analytics (loaded only after consent).
Calendly — inline scheduling widget on /contact (loaded only after consent).
Resend — email delivery for contact form submissions.
Sanity — headless CMS serving page content (no personal data stored).
Each provider has their own privacy policy governing the data they process.
Data retention
Contact form data is retained for as long as our working relationship is active and up to 2 years after last contact, then deleted. Analytics data follows Google's retention settings (14 months). Cookie consent preferences are stored in your browser for 12 months and then you are re-prompted.
Your rights
GDPR (EU/UK):Right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object. You may withdraw cookie consent at any time via the footer link or by clearing your browser's localStorage.
CCPA (California): Right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to opt out of its sale (I do not sell data), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
